A magician, a mysterious woman, an eccentric old man, a skull on the table: each becomes part of a visual vocabulary of illusion, death, temptation and performance.

It feels nostalgic and alien at the same time — as though an old silent film had been resurrected, given a surreal sense of humour, and invited into a modern nightmare.

There is something wonderfully theatrical about Win-Win. It doesn't simply tell a story; it creates a little universe of ritual and performance, where nobody quite knows whether they're witnessing a magic trick, a negotiation, a con, a supernatural encounter, or some elaborate joke.
